The Genome Rally (Sic Transit Terra Book 4)
The most dangerous race in the galaxy is the race against time.
And the second most dangerous race? The Galactic Great Council believes it’s the Humans. However, as the captain and officers of the Earth ship Marco Polo are about to find out, Humanity has plenty of competition for that title.
While visiting Kula’as, Captain Takamura and his crew are recruited by aliens for a covert mission. The Thryggians may be close to breaking out of their pocket universe using a psi-powered heavy ship left over from an ancient war. If they succeed in activating the ship, they’ll be unstoppable. Can a bickering bunch of Humans and aliens work together to find and steal the vessel before it is too late?

Reviews:
"Awesome engaging Sci Fi with great characters and story line! A must read!" -- Dr. Diana Kirschner
"Moves along well, and provides foreshadowing for the next in the series. Very enjoyable..." -- D. M. McLane
"Each story has been well-written with rich full characters." -- Kindle Customer
"Amazed at how this book carries you along for the ride and never lets you down right to the very end. I loved every minute of it." - Barbara Letson
"Picking up where the third book in the series left off, The Genome Rally introduces more mystery, more secrets and more hidden agendas. Every major character has a mask they present to the world and a true identity that remains hidden. It is a duplicitous universe of constant fencing, where motives remain hidden, and where no one and nothing can be taken at face value. ... Readers who enjoy The Expanse will like the Sic Transit Terra series." - Ken Haigh, CEO of the Collingwood Public Library
"I started to read it on a flight to Cuba and after registering at my resort, had to force myself to put it down at one thirty in the morning." - Dave Penney
"If you missed reading the first three books in this series, you don’t need them to enjoy reading “The Genome Rally”. It is a standalone book, though there are some references to occurrences in the previous books." -- R. Ploude
"As always, Marks does a fantastic job of painting the scenery in her book, which makes it very easy to visualize everything that happens within its pages." - Chris Marks
"The characters are diverse and came to life. The story line is diverse. ... A very good read." - smerritt, amazon
