About Timothy J. Anderson
Timothy J. Anderson is a graduate of the Carleton School of Journalism, has had his work published in many periodicals, and is in demand as a teacher of writing workshops at all levels.
His writing career includes more than a dozen stage productions, two novels, including the controversial poetry collection Neurotic Erotica, and numerous published works of short fiction and nonfiction.
He has won the Alberta Television Drama Award, several Alberta Culture Playwriting awards, the Jon Whyte Memorial Essay Prize, and was nominated for a Sterling Award for The Fourth Tenor.
In addition, his chamber opera Garden Variations (written with composer David Parsons), won the national PRO Canada Competition. He has served as vice-president of the Alberta Playwrights Network, as librettist-in-residence for the Canadian Opera Company, and as chair of the strategic planning committee for the Writers Guild of Alberta. He is also one of the founders of The Books Collective, and has worked as an editor for many years.
Born in Montreal, he has made his home in Alberta since 1984. [MORE]
